# What is Resolv?

Resolv is the financial layer for stable returns.

Resolv provides the foundation for sustainable and low-risk yield generation suited for the needs of market participants, from project treasuries and blockchains to neo-banks looking for new product options.

Resolv is built as a three-layer financial system, each part designed for a different type of user, risk, and yield profile:

* **USR (Resolv USD)** — a crypto-native prime asset engineered to provide stable, yield-bearing exposure without directional market risk.
* **RLP (Resolv Liquidity Pool) —** leveraged yield product for advanced users and liquidity providers who protect from risks to holders of USR.
* **Vaults** — Professionally operated strategies that deliver enhanced, sustainable returns without requiring users or allocators to manage exposure, leverage, or rebalancing.

The protocol's main features include:

* Issuance and redemption of USR and RLP against other tokens;
* Maintaining sufficient backing for USR by allocating collateral pool into diverse digital asset money market instruments, such as staking, futures, lending, and tokenized RWAs.

Both USR and RLP can be minted and redeemed by users in exchange for collateral deposited on a 1:1 basis.
